Tastes: the many flavors of fun
In what was originally conceived as a way to simplify the task of condensing my existence into a short description for the basics page, I hit upon the idea of asking people to describe me in a limited number of words. The catalyst for this project was actually a joke a friend made about how the phase "really good and kind of messed up" fit me well. Anyway, I decided to only grant a response of five words. Here are the results thus far:

Michael Byrne, father and close friend
        decent, gifted, unambitious, sweet, searching

Barbara Byrne, mother
        fun, creative, messy, semi-lazy, sweet

Evan Lloyd Wyse, friend since junior high
        intellectual, cognitive, laughable, adaptable, free-thinking

Kirsten Shurb, close college friend
        best friend, listener, emotional, cynic

Jen Barger, college friend and ex-GF
        Ben is Ben, that's all.

Kristi Kaster, friend and ex-GF
        intelligent, sarcastic, creative, interesting, funny

Steve Cullison, friend since high school
        Einstein easily distracted but content.

Katie Bennett, college friend and roommate
        snuggly, whimsical, jiggy, intelligent, dumb

Adam Lamparske, best friend from elementary school
        witty, intelligent, stubborn, talented, friend

Craig Willford, best friend since 7th grade
        There when I need him.

Dan Beaver-Seitz, college friend and roommate
        wannabe queer, genuinely friendly, humanist

Brenton Pyle, college friend and roommate
        friendly, intelligent, creative, realistic, resolute

Laurie Weinrib, friend and ex-GF
        Living in Iowa--nuff said.

Matt Stanford, college friend and former roommate
        Ben is not a Todd.

Jonas Anderson, high school friend
        disestablishmentarianistic, creative, sarcastic, lego-like

Josh Raulerson, college friend and roommate
        intelligent, earnest, warm, goofy, lemony-fresh

Mike Byrne, older brother
        talented, artistic, political, dry, erratic

Byron Olson II, roommate
        Curly lovesick wozniak-worshipper near corn.

Myself, after reading the above
        intelligent, creative, searching, distracted, disorganized

Note: In case you're wondering about people's math skills, be aware that the sematics of counting hyphenated words is still under debate.
