I'm something of a Macintosh zealot, though you'd probably have been able to guess that from this page. You might also be able to surmise that I'm pretty opinionated, so if you want to know what I think of any of the stuff I use, just drop me a line and I'll tell you.

The Cream of the Crop

The very best in Macintosh software.

Bare Bones Software
Simply, the best Macintosh software company around. They make BBEdit, an amazing ASCII editor. Great for whipping up text files, and a killer HTML and code editor. They also make Mailsmith, a terrific email client. These programs are smooth, packed with the right features (can you say "scriptable grep"? I knew you could), and otherwise kick-ass. Someday, I'll write a more complete unsolicited testimonial for both of these programs. Oh, and they make Super Get Info, which I also use.
The Omni Group
They make a bunch of great Mac-only software, including OmniOutliner, OmniGraffle, and OmniWeb.
Blacktree
Makers of the most amazing thing around, Quicksilver. You have to try it to really understand it.
Mariner Software
Makers of Mariner Write and Mariner Calc, my MS Office replacements of choice, as well as MacJournal.
Digitool
What do they make? Only an excellent Common Lisp environment for the Macintosh.

The best AppleScript environment, Script Debugger.

Makes the incredibly useful File Buddy.
Red Rock Software
They make DeltaGraph, my graphing package of choice.
Design Science
Creators of MathType, an equation editor
Rogue Amoeba
Audio guys. I use Detour and Audio Hijack Pro.
Unsanity
Hackmaker. I use FruitMenu, Labels X, and Silk.
Azarhi Software
They make a really cool little utility called Do Something When, and it's free!
MacSoft
I only really like one computer game, which is Civilization II.
Allume Systems
They make Stuffit Expander and DropStuff.
Adobe
I'm not sure about Adobe, but I do like PDF files. (Gotta have Acrobat.)
Micromat
Makers of Tech Tool Pro. Anything is better than dealing with $yman, err, Symantec.
Stairways
My FTP client of choice? Interarchy.
C-Command (or Michael Tsai)
SpamSieve handles almost all my spam.
Brian Kendall
xGestures, which enables mouse gestures in OS X. Very cool stuff.
